Starships AR 1.0

Starships AR offers an immersive augmented reality experience that allows users to visualize and control a spaceship within their own environment. The application enables the piloting of individual starships or entire starfleets across a flat surface, provided the space has adequate lighting conditions. The absence of advertisements contributes to an uninterrupted user experience.

Upon launching the app, users are prompted to identify a suitable flat surface within a well-lit room. By following a simple hand gesture tutorial, the device's camera detects and prompts a grid overlay. Tapping this grid spawns an AR starship, which can be manipulated through intuitive controls such as a virtual joystick for rotation and a slider to adjust speed.

An instructional mode is available, allowing users to familiarize themselves with the controls using a non-AR spaceship prior to engaging in augmented reality gameplay.

Note that Starships AR utilizes Apple’s ARKit technology and requires iOS 11 or later. Compatibility information for supported devices can be found at this link. Prior to installation, users are advised to review the privacy policy and end-user license agreement. The application is not optimized for iPad devices.
